Deviation Actions
So in just over a week, I shall be arriving at Ayacon, my first anime convention. I've done MCM Expo multiple times before, but from what I have been reading of Ayacon, it will be a very different feel indeed.
Even though it is at Warwick Uni which is only a short bud ride away for me, I decided to stay there, so that I have everything on hand. So I can change my costumes, not have to keep my shopping on me all day, and if I need to escape for a bit I don't have far to go.
There are numerous events on over the course of the con, and whilst many don't appeal, there are several that have caught my eye. From Conventions 101: A Newcomers' Guide which will help me get a better idea of what to expect as well as meet people in the same boat as me, to Hentai II: The Porn Supremacy which I'm expecting to be amusing in a very weird way. But there are also several cosplay crafting panels, such as making wings or armour, which I'm hoping will give me ideas of how I can make some cosplay I have in mind, such Unit 01 from Evangelion.
My biggest fear for the weekend is not making friends with anyone, as there isn't anyone I know going, and whilst I will obviously share some common ground, that doesn't mean I will get on with anyone. Hopefully I do however, and meet some great people I will stay in contact with afterwards, and meet up again for future events.
